Joshua Korenblat is an accomplished educator and graphic designer with extensive experience in academia and the creative industry. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at SUNY New Paltz since July 2015, Joshua has also contributed as Education Lead for Viz for Social Good during the 2019-2020 period. Previous roles include Art Director at Graphicacy, where Joshua specialized in storytelling through data visualization, and faculty member at Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts. Joshua's career includes freelance work as an Art Director and educator, as well as key positions at Science News Magazine and National Geographic Magazine, focusing on art direction and graphic design. Joshua holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MFA in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Masters in Education from Brown University.
