Jason Jones

As Chief Data Officer for the Board of Governors, Jason Jones oversees the Office of Data & Analytics which is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting data for the State University System. Jason provides leadership regarding data governance, data management, data analytics and overall data strategies for the System office.

Jason joined the Board’s Office of Academic and Student Affairs in 2009 as an Education Policy Analyst. He was previously employed with the Bureau of Postsecondary Assessment within the Florida Department of Education Division of Accountability, Research and Measurement, and gained legislative experience with the Florida Legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) as a graduate student.

Jason received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Emory University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Florida State University.
