Birgitte Vilslev

Researcher PHD Student at SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst

Birgitte Vilslev has extensive experience in the field of art history and curation, currently serving as a Researcher PhD Student at SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst since 2016. Previously, Birgitte held the position of Assistant Curator and Coordinator at the same institution from 2013 to 2015 and worked as a Lecturer at Folkeuniversitetet København in September 2013. Additional roles include Curator at Fotografisk Center from May 2012 to March 2013 and Student Assistant/Exhibition Assistant at Statens Museum for Kunst from 2007 to 2010. Birgitte's educational background includes a Mag.art in Art History from the University of Copenhagen, studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, and foundational training at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and Billedskolen in Copenhagen.
