Alvaro A. Porturas

Alvaro A. Purturas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alvaro A. began their career as a Credit Analyst at BANCOSUR in 1996 and later worked as a Finance Analyst at BELLSOUTH in 1997. From 1998 to 2002, they worked at CITIBANK as an Assistant Manager and was a member of the Credit and Risk Committee. Alvaro then joined Scotiabank Peru in 2002, where they served as an Assistant Manager responsible for evaluating and administering credit lines for medium companies. In 2004, they became the CFO at Cia Hitepima and continued in this role until 2007, when they transitioned to become the Financial Planning Manager at Los Portales until 2009. In 2009, they briefly worked as the CFO at Grupo Innova. From 2011 to 2013, Alvaro served as a Senior Project Manager at Inversiones Centenario S.A.A., overseeing the evaluation, financial structuring, and management of investment projects. Alvaro A. then joined the Universidad de Lima as a Corporate Finance Professor from 2012 to 2016. Finally, in 2014, Alvaro became the CFO at Statkraft, where they currently hold this role.

Alvaro A. Porturas has a diverse education history. In 1996, they completed their undergraduate studies at Universidad de Lima, where they obtained a Licenciado degree in Economics. Following this, from 2000 to 2004, they pursued their MBA at Universidad del Pacífico in Peru, focusing on Administration.

In 2013, Alvaro attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business for an Executive Program in Finance for Managers (CFO). This program provided him with a comprehensive understanding of finance, with a particular emphasis on general finance knowledge.
