Will Thomson

Will Thomson is currently the Head of Soccer Research at StatsBomb. Prior to their current position, Will held roles as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist within the same company. Before joining StatsBomb, Will worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Birmingham. Will holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Birmingham, which Will obtained in 2020. Will also holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematical Biology from the same institution, completed in 2015.
