Aidan Hyde

Associate General Counsel at STELCO

Aidan Hyde has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Aidan began their career as an intern at the United States Senate, working with Senator Edward M. Kennedy. Aidan then pursued an internship at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing before taking on a role as a Legislative Aide at the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks.

In 2010, Aidan joined the City of Calgary as a Research Assistant in the Mayor's Office. Aidan gained valuable experience in policy research and analysis during their time there. In 2011, Aidan started their legal career at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin, focusing on corporate and commercial matters. Aidan handled a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and initial public offerings. Aidan also provided counsel on securities regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

In 2015, Aidan joined ADVANZ PHARMA as the Senior Director of Legal Affairs and Deputy Corporate Secretary. Aidan played a key role in managing legal affairs and supporting corporate governance initiatives. Currently, Aidan serves as the Associate General Counsel at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada, where they oversee legal matters and provides strategic guidance.

Aidan Hyde attended Western University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and History. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled in the University of Calgary from 2009 to 2012. At the University of Calgary, Aidan pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law.
