Francys Barrado has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Francys began their career as an Intern Marketing Analyst at USIMINAS in 1998. Francys then worked as a Quality Assurance and Product Development Engineer at USIMINAS from 2000 to 2006. Following this, Francys joined U. S. Steel Canada Inc. as a Research Project Engineer from 2006 to 2009. Francys also participated in the Experienced Workers Program as a student in 2009. After this, they worked as an International Business Management Teacher at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology for a brief period in 2010. Francys then joined Tenaris as a Mill Product and Metallurgy Analyst from 2011 to 2012. Francys further worked as a Research Engineer at United States Steel Corporation from 2012 to 2016. Currently, they are serving as a Research Specialist at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada, starting from December 2016 until the present.
Francys Barrado obtained a B.Sc. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, which they attended from 1994 to 1999. Francys then pursued further education and completed a M.Sc. degree in Materials Engineering at UFOP - Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto from 2001 to 2003. In 2009, Francys attended Mohawk College and earned a Post Graduate degree in International Business Management, which they completed in 2010.
