Leigh McCulloch

Leigh McCulloch has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Leigh currently serves as a Principal Software Engineer at the Stellar Development Foundation since 2019. Prior to this, they worked at PayPal from 2015 to 2019, where they held the position of Staff Software Engineer II and Technical Lead for the Braintree Payments product. Leigh was responsible for leading and mentoring teams, managing cross-organization initiatives, and delivering on the technical roadmap.

Before joining PayPal, Leigh worked at Gumroad as a Lead Payments Engineer from 2014 to 2015. Leigh also worked as a Senior Consultant at East Coast Management Consultants (Aust) from 2011 to 2014, and as a Senior Software Developer at EFT Solutions Pty Ltd from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, they held positions at Cabcharge Australia Limited as a Software Engineer from 2008 to 2010, at Ingenico International (Pacific) as a Software Developer from 2006 to 2008, and at U-235 Studios as a Game Engine Programmer in 2005. Throughout their career, Leigh has gained experience in various programming languages and technologies such as Java, Ruby, Rails, C#, and more.

Leigh McCulloch completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a focus on Games Technology, from Charles Sturt University. This occurred between 2003 and 2005.
