Katie Hay

Katie Hay is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at STEMCELL Technologies, responsible for the design, development, and testing of laboratory automation systems, focusing on translating specifications, optimizing design with vendors, and improving mechanical workflows. Previous experience includes serving as the Building Science Consultant and Component Modelling Team Lead at Morrison Hershfield, where Katie led thermal analyses for building envelope components. Additional roles span mechanical engineering positions at PCH Lime Lab, MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists, and MistyWest, involving product testing, incident investigations, and mechanical design. Katie holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Biomedical specialization from the University of Calgary.
