Amy Childers

Amy Childers is an ASCP Certified Histology Technician and ASCP certified Medical Laboratory Technician. She has a BS in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is also a Navy veteran. After serving 10 years in both patient care and laboratory roles, she decided histology was what she wanted to devote her civilian life too. She has experience in clinical labs and corporate labs. As a teenage sufferer of Alopecia, she has a unique understanding of the patient’s experience with the condition. This perspective is what drew her to work at Stemson. She works closely with the team at Stemson in the histology department in processing and staining tissues with H&E, IHC, and IF. Her goal at Stemson is to contribute to optimizing processes in order to make the vision of hair regrowth and confidence restoration a reality for everyone. In her spare time, she enjoys boxing, knitting, and curling up with a good book.
