The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and deployments. You will be instrumental in automating our testing processes and integrating them into our CI/CD pipelines, contributing to the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our systems.

  • Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools to support automated testing and efficient software delivery.
  • Develop and implement automated testing strategies to ensure the quality and functionality of software deployments.
  • Improve and maintain our Kubernetes environment through infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests with deployment pipelines, ensuring that all releases meet our quality standards.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in our DevOps pipeline.
  • Stay abreast of the latest in DevOps technologies and methodologies, recommending and implementing improvements to our processes.
  • Work closely with the QA team to expand our automated testing framework, covering unit, integration, and system tests.
  • Conduct system deployments and manage version control systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Skills/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role, with a proven track record of implementing automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with automation/configuration management using Azure Devops or equivalents like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their managed services.
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
