Asha Deshpande

Asha Deshpande is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data science and analytics leadership. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Enterprise Data Operations & Strategy at Step Up For Students, Asha is focused on establishing robust data governance frameworks. Previously, Asha held the role of Data Science Engineering Manager at Spreetail, overseeing a diverse team to enhance business metrics through advanced data processing and machine learning models. During a long tenure at Data Axle, Asha progressed through various leadership positions, ultimately as Vice President of Data Science, where Asha advanced analytics capabilities and data governance. Asha's earlier career included roles at Experian and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, building a solid foundation in statistical analysis and research methodologies. Asha holds a Master of Science in Survey Research and Methodology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and additional degrees including an MBA and a Nanodegree in Programming for Data Science.
