Jean Geran is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human rights, child protection, and social justice initiatives. Currently serving as the Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives at the Stephen & Laurel Brown Foundation, Jean plays a critical role in several programs, including the Upper House Fellows Program and the Lumen Center. Previous positions include Visiting Scholar at Upper House, Director for Human Rights, Child Protection and Global Policy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Founder and President of Each Inc., a non-profit focused on child protection technology solutions. With a strong background in policy planning and advocacy, Jean has held significant roles in various esteemed organizations, including the U.S. Department of State, the National Security Council, and the Legatum Institute. Jean holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master's Degree from Michigan State University, and a BSBA from Georgetown University.
