Laura advises clients across all sectors including retail, luxury goods, financial services, sport, and life sciences, on employment law and HR strategy – from tailoring contracts and policies to advising on redundancies, misconduct, performance issues, negotiated exits, absence management, discrimination, and board-level appointments. She also has experience advising on, and running, sensitive internal disciplinary and grievance investigations.
Laura has recently been involved in managing various high-profile disputes, including acting for a group of executives in a multi-million dollar bonus claim and defending well-known brands in complex employment tribunal cases.
Laura has assisted financial services clients with the implementation of the Senior Manager and Certification Regime by drafting contract and policy updates and advising on related issues involving disciplinary action, internal investigations, and regulatory references. She also works closely with data protection and employee incentives experts to advise clients on these specialist areas.
Laura advises on the employee aspects of asset and shares sale transactions, and on the TUPE implications of multi-jurisdictional business sales and service outsourcing.
Laura delivers bespoke training to senior managers and HR teams, and hosts events for HR professionals to educate and share experiences.
Laura qualified in Scotland in 2014.
