Alexander MacDonald

Alexander MacDonald is an accomplished dance educator and performer with extensive experience in tap dance. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Montclair State University since January 2018, Alexander also teaches tap at Steps On Broadway and the Edge School of the Arts, working with students from elementary to high school age. As a member of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Alexander instructs tap classes in NYC public schools and has contributed to curriculum development. Performance highlights include roles in children's rock band Tim and the Space Cadets and participation with notable organizations such as Postmodern Jukebox and Cats Paying Dues. Alexander holds an MA in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick and a BA in Musical Theatre and Dance from SUNY Geneseo.
