Alan Bruens

Alan Bruens has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alan started their career as an Area Director of Finance at Hilton Worldwide, where they had overall financial responsibility for hotels in Africa. Alan then worked as the CFO for andBeyond Travel, a major tour operator and owner of luxury game lodges in Africa and India. After that, they served as the CFO at WG Wearne Ltd, a listed group with three divisions involved in quarrying, concrete production, and cast concrete products. Their most recent role was as the Finance Director of Tsebo Solutions Group, specifically in their catering division. Alan is currently the CFO of Ster-Kinekor Theatres.

Alan Bruens completed their Matric at Rondebosch Boys' High from 1977 to 1981. Alan then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting at the University of the Witwatersrand from 1982 to 1985. Following that, they attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 1988 to 1989, where they obtained an Honours B Compt in Accounting. Lastly, they completed their CA (SA) degree in Accounting at SAICA in 1991.
