Gaurav Chauhan

Gaurav Chauhan has extensive work experience in various roles within the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Gaurav began their career at Reliance Infrastructure Limited in 2006, where they worked as a Manager in the Project Controls Department. Gaurav held this role for five years until 2011.

Following this, Chauhan joined Welspun Renewables Energy Private Limited as a Deputy General Manager. In this position, they were a key member of the Business Development team, focusing on new capacity generation and managing leads under Solar Third-Party PPA Sales, BOOT, and Rooftop Model. Gaurav also had financial modeling and decision-making responsibilities.

In 2017, Chauhan joined Sterlite Power as the Head of Cost Control & Management. In this role, they empowered CXOs by establishing a Cost Control function to maximize operational efficiency in projects. Gaurav also played a significant role in assessing project financial health and operational efficiency by leveraging various levers. Chauhan held this position for two years before transitioning to the role of Assistant Vice President in the CEO's Office for Infra and then India Business. In these roles, they supported the CEO in operational and financial analysis, developed analytical reports, and managed the governance mechanism for the respective business units.

Currently, Chauhan is the Vice President and Head of the CEO's Office, Governance & Strategy at Sterlite Power. In this position, they formulate strategies for the CEO's office, manages key interventions, and focuses on proactive transformational themes to strengthen business performance and governance across various verticals such as Power Transmission, EPC, and Products - Conductors & Power Cables.

Gaurav Chauhan completed their B.Tech in Power Electrical from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University between 2002 and 2006. Gaurav also obtained another B.Tech in Power Electrical from the National Power Training Institute during the same period. Gaurav later pursued an MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, they attended Kulachi Hansraj Model School, although the dates and specific degree obtained from this institution are unknown.
