Luciana Borges

Luciana Borges has extensive work experience, starting with their current role as Chief Financial Officer at Sterlite Power. In this position, they are responsible for fundraising, M&A, treasury, FP&A, accounting, tax, risk & governance, and IT. Luciana has successfully raised over BRL2Bi for the construction of transmission lines through debentures and financing with development banks and commercial banks.

Prior to Sterlite Power, Luciana held various roles at Gemini Energy S.A., including Finance & Administrative Director/CFO and Finance Director. During their time at Gemini Energy, they were responsible for treasury, financial planning, fundraising, accounting, tax, legal, human resources, procurement, administrative, and IT. Luciana also served as the interim CEO, reporting directly to the global CEO of Isolux Group.

Before that, Luciana worked as a Finance Manager at Lachmann, where they were responsible for managing the financial area of the group and implementing improvements in the disbursements accounts issuance process and collection process.

Luciana also has experience in the energy and oil & gas industries, having worked as a Project Leader at OGX Óleo & Gás, where they led systems deployment and cost optimization projects, and as a Finance & Administrative Manager at Abengoa and Sonangol Starfish Oil & Gas.

During their early career, Luciana worked at Sotreq S/A as a Six Sigma Black Belt and planning and financial analysis (FP&A) coordinator, implementing internal processes and training the department team. Luciana also worked at Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional as a finance controlling specialist, responsible for planning, financial analysis, and associate companies investment monitoring.

Luciana began their career at Arthur Andersen as a senior consultant.

Luciana Borges earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Management, from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Luciana attended this university from 1989 to 1992.

Later on, they pursued another Bachelor's degree in Accounting at the Universidade Candido Mendes, where they studied from an unknown start year until 2014.

In 2006, Luciana Borges completed an MBA in Business Management from the MBA Sotreq/FGV program.

In addition to their degrees, they also obtained a Latu Sensu qualification in Information Systems Management from Estácio, attending from 1995 to 1996.
