Alex Mapako

Alex Mapako has held various roles in their work experience. Alex started their career as a Bank Examiner at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe in 2005, where they eventually became a Senior Bank Examiner. In 2008, they transitioned to the role of Campus Manager at BA ISAGO University College, and later became the Deputy Dean. In 2016, they joined Nedbank Zimbabwe Limited as their Chief Risk Officer, a position they held until 2020. Currently, they are the Chief Risk Officer at Steward Bank, a position they have held since 2020.

Alex Mapako completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University in 2001-2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Science and Technology (ZW) between 1995 and 1999. In terms of additional certifications, Alex Mapako obtained a certification in "Leading in Crisis" from LinkedIn in September 2020.
