Jeani Winterbourne

Winterbourne is President, Chief Service Strategy Officer, Chief Operating Officer (SPIS) of Steward Partners Investment Solutions. In this role, Winterbourne is responsible for the companies’ operations.

Winterbourne has more than 40 years of experience in the investment business. She has served in the role of COO for the past 4 years and prior to that she was the CEO for 8 years. Prior to joining Steward Partners Global Advisory, she was the COO and President of Umpqua Investments, which was acquired by Steward Partners Global Advisory in 2021. Jeani also served as a Senior Vice President of operations and business development of Umpqua Investments where she managed regulatory and compliance initiatives, sales development, training, and service programs. Prior to joining Umpqua Investments, Winterbourne worked as a market area administrative officer and Director-Investments for UBS Financial. She was responsible for the oversight of branch offices located in four states. In this position she worked with managers to implement efficient procedures, increase profitability and develop staff talent through training and mentoring. She also spent 23 years at Smith Barney where her job responsibilities took her from a part time receptionist, through all areas of operations, compliance and ultimately to a management position. Winterbourne has been acting in a leadership role for the past 35 years.
