Willemijn Baken

Willemijn Baken has extensive experience in leadership and strategic advisory roles within the realm of sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities. Currently serving as Directeur at Stichting Special Heroes Nederland since June 2022, Willemijn has previously worked as a Strategisch adviseur impact sport en bewegen at ZonMw and as Directeur at Kenniscentrum Sport. Earlier roles include Directeur-bestuurder at Stichting Onbeperkt Sportief and Stichting Special Olympics Nederland, and Adjunct-directeur at Gehandicaptensport Nederland. Educational qualifications include a drs in Pedagogiek from Utrecht University and a drs in Bewegingswetenschappen from Maastricht University.
