David Kipp

David Kipp is an experienced professional in international relations and policy analysis, currently serving as an Associate at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) since January 2016, where responsibilities include preparing publications and providing analysis on EU migration and asylum policy. Previous roles encompass advisory positions at the Deutscher Bundestag, supporting human rights policy and parliamentary activities, as well as project coordination at Germany Close Up and the Development and Peace Foundation, focusing on sustainable development and transatlantic exchanges. Kipp's early career included significant contributions at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN and in freelance roles related to journalism and international projects. Kipp holds a Diploma in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin, obtained in 2007.
