Bodo Henkel

Bodo Henkel has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Bodo is currently working at STIHL as the Director of Exploration Strategy. Prior to this, they held positions at STIHL as the Director of Digital Transformation Management and the Director of Digital Strategic Partnerships, focusing on business models. Bodo also worked as the Director of Digital Innovation Lab at STIHL. In 2019, they joined Band4Transformation as a Member. From 2016 to 2020, Bodo Henkel served as the Managing Partner at DEKADI Baraba & Henkel Innovation Consultants PartG. Bodo worked as an Innovations Manager at MicroMountains Applications AG from 2014 to 2015. Bodo Henkel also has experience in research and academia, having worked as a Scientific Assistant at Kiel University (CAU) from 2010 to 2014, focusing on nanotechnology, thin film composites, and photokatalysis. Bodo served as the CEO of Norddeutsche Initiative Nanomaterialien (NINa) from 2011 to 2013. Bodo Henkel started their career as a Bachelor's student at Bosch in 2008 and previously worked as a Student Assistant at Fraunhofer FIT, where they were involved in electronic hardware development and prototyping. Bodo also co-founded and worked as a Software Engineer at fantomas bitStats (Corporate Startup) from 2003 to 2005.

Bodo Henkel has a diverse education history. Bodo earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Materialwissenschaften from Kiel University from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Elektrotechnik, Mikrotechnologien, Sensoren from the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf from 2005 to 2008. Bodo also pursued studies in Informatik at FernUniversität in Hagen from 2002 to 2005. In addition, Bodo Henkel obtained a certification in Design Thinking Professional Track from Hasso Plattner Institute in 2018. Before their undergraduate studies, they studied Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik at RWTH Aachen University from 1998 to 2002.
