Pamela Kennedy

Research Analyst & Deputy Director, China/east Asia Program at The Stimson Center

Pamela Kennedy is an experienced research analyst currently employed at The Stimson Center since September 2016, specializing in international relations and security issues related to Japan. Previously, Pamela served as an intern for the Japan Chair Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and worked as a research assistant at the Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies. Early in their career, Pamela gained valuable analytical skills while working as an Associate Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Additionally, Pamela has volunteer management experience with the American Red Cross and has held various roles in customer service. Academically, Pamela holds a Master of Arts in Japan Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and East Asian Studies from William & Mary.
