Thelma Janse van Rensburg

Thelma Janse van Rensburg is the Head of People at Stitch. Thelma has over thirteen years of experience in human resources and talent management.

Thelma began their career as a tutor at the University of Stellenbosch in 2008. Thelma then became the Chief of Talent at GetSmarter in 2012, where they served on the executive team and oversaw all aspects of the company's human resources. In May 2018, they joined 2U as Vice President Global Workforce Design. In this role, they oversee global workforce requirements and puts policies and processes in place to enable the necessary movements to allow for effective organisational design and securing the best, most diverse workforce. Thelma joined Stitch in April 2022 as Head of People.

Thelma Janse van Rensburg has a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Translation and Editing from Stellenbosch University. Thelma also has an Honours BA in English Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Language and Culture from Stellenbosch University. Thelma Janse van Rensburg also has a Certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Business Process Design for Strategic Management, a Certification from LinkedIn in Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues, and a Certification from LinkedIn in Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences.

Thelma Janse van Rensburg reports to Kiaan Pillay, CEO. They work with Neha Kumar - Head of Product Partnerships, Thea Sokolowski - Head of Marketing & Communications, and Grant James - Head of Business Development.
