Nathan Bigler

Chief People Officer at St. Luke's Hospital

Nathan (Nate) Bigler joined St. Luke’s Hospital in January 2023 as the healthcare network’s Chief People Officer. Nate has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare human resources leadership and has a track record of developing high-performing teams within a culture of excellence.

Immediately prior to joining St. Luke’s, Nate served as Chief Human Resource Officer for Nevada Health Centers (NVHC), a nonprofit organization with 18 health facilities. Prior to NVHC, Nate held leadership roles with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) at hospital and system levels. As Regional Vice President for HCA’s Far West Division, he was responsible for HR needs for eight hospitals and 35 clinics across Nevada and California. Nate began his healthcare career at Intermountain Healthcare in Provo, Utah, where he eventually served as the Southern Region Director.

Nate provides executive leadership in the development and delivery of state-of-the-art human resources programs and initiatives related to advancing St. Luke’s culture of high performance and human potential. Specifically, Nate leads efforts to continue developing the culture in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion as well as organizational development, recruitment, retention and employee well-being.

Nate earned his master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management at Brigham Young University.
