Dr. Ruth Butterfield is the Director of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Oxford Office, a position held since May 2010, following their role as a Research Fellow at the Institute. With extensive experience in crop modelling, climate analysis, water resources, climate change impacts, and adaptation strategies, Butterfield has contributed to significant research initiatives. Prior experience includes work as a researcher at the Environmental Change Institute (ECI) at the University of Oxford, focusing on climate change impacts on crops and climate data analysis. Earlier work as a Research Assistant at the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading complemented an academic foundation that includes a PhD in Agriculture and Meteorology and a BSc in Agricultural Botany, both obtained from the University of Reading.
