Chia-Ching John Lin is currently working as an Associate Principal Scientist at Stoke Therapeutics, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist II, Oncology at Codiak BioSciences from November 2020 to May 2022, where they led project teams, developed assay designs, and communicated complex data. Before that, they held the position of Scientist, Biology Discovery at Denali Therapeutics from June 2019 to November 2020. In this role, they contributed to target validation, led a team in developing cell-based assays, and expanded sequencing capability. Chia-Ching John Lin began their career as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan in May 2002, where they assessed immunomodulatory effects of herbal extracts. Chia-Ching John then worked as a Research Assistant at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital from September 2003 to August 2004, where they designed and constructed a Bio-Artificial Liver. Chia-Ching John continued their education and worked as a Masters Student at National Yang Ming University from 2004 to 2005. Chia-Ching John achieved the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Academia Sinica, Taiwan in 2012 and later pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine from January 2013 to June 2019. In these roles, they conducted research on astrocytic gene expression, identified astrocyte subpopulations, and collaborated with other laboratories.

Chia-Ching John Lin completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology from the University of Victoria from 1998 to 2001. Later on, from 2005 to 2011, Chia-Ching John Lin pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the National Yang Ming University.
