Jacob Kach

Associate Director, Program And Alliance Management at Stoke Therapeutics

Jacob Kach has a comprehensive work experience in the scientific field. Jacob started their career as a Research Technician at Washington University in St. Louis from June 2003 to May 2006. Jacob then worked as a Research Technician at the University of Illinois at Chicago for one year from July 2006 to August 2007. Following this, they joined The University of Chicago where they started as a Ph.D. Candidate in September 2007 and eventually became a Postdoctoral Scholar from July 2013 to April 2016. During their time at The University of Chicago, Jacob's research focused on drug repurposing in pre-clinical models of pulmonary fibrosis. Jacob identified a novel mechanism of action for a drug called noscapine and initiated multiple collaborations for data generation and model development. Jacob also independently developed a hydroxyproline assay based on a literature search.

In 2016, Jacob transitioned to Stoke Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist, Biology, where they worked until December 2019. In this role, they contributed to research and development efforts, applying their expertise in biology. From January 2020 to December 2021, Jacob served as an Associate Principal Scientist at Stoke Therapeutics, showcasing their advancement in the company. In January 2022, they took on the position of Senior Alliance Manager, overseeing strategic partnerships within the organization. Finally, in January 2023, Jacob became the Associate Director, Alliance Management, which highlights their continuous growth and responsibilities in building and managing alliances at Stoke Therapeutics.

Jacob Kach's education history begins in 2002 when they enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis. Jacob pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology and successfully completed their studies in 2006. Following this, Jacob went on to continue their academic journey at the University of Chicago from 2007 to 2013. During this time, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the field of Molecular Pathogenesis and Molecular Medicine.
