Nathan Balmes

Nathan is a senior finance and accounting leader with over 15 years of experience in real estate accounting serving as Controller, Vice President of Finance, and other various roles in corporate, development, and property accounting. He oversees the firm’s accounting and financial reporting for both investment and corporate operations.

Prior to joining Stonemont, Nathan was Vice President at State Street Bank responsible for fund accounting operations for closed and open-ended institutional core real estate funds totaling $6.5B. Prior to this, he served as VP and Assistant Controller with JLL overseeing accounting for a portfolio of over 325 assets and 30 different clients including the launch of a publicly traded REIT of retail redevelopment assets.

Nathan majored in Finance at the University of Georgia and continued with Accounting at Georgia State University and is an active CPA.
