Dan Tseng

Daniel Tseng is a seasoned legal and business professional currently serving as Managing Director at Stonepeak since 2022. Prior to this role, Daniel held the position of CAO & General Counsel at CircleUp from 2020 to 2022, where leadership encompassed strategic, operational, and administrative functions within a high-growth alternative investment firm. From 2017 to 2020, Daniel functioned as Divisional General Counsel at Two Sigma, overseeing legal matters for a hedge fund and a new business division focused on technology commercialization. Between 2012 and 2017, Daniel was the head M&A lawyer at Travelers, advising the executive team and board on strategic investments and transactions. Earlier in the career, Daniel practiced corporate M&A and private equity law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from 2005 to 2012. Daniel holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
