Chief Accounting Officer at Stoneridge

Robert J. Hartman is the current Chief Accounting Officer at Stoneridge. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Internal Audit and Director of Accounting at Stoneridge, Inc., Electronics & Control Devices from January 2003 to October 2006 and February 1996 to April 2000 respectively. In their role as Director of Internal Audit, Hartman was responsible for the development, performance and supervision of fraud, financial, business process/operational, and information technology (IT) audits including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance and audits. Robert was also the primary liaison with external auditor and performed special projects such as policy and procedure development, process improvement consultation, due diligence and corporate governance activities. In addition, Hartman established the internal audit function at Stoneridge and was directly responsible for co-sourced internal audit relationships and activities. As Director of Accounting, they oversaw all aspects of accounting operations including financial reporting, general ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, payroll and tax compliance. Hartman has a long and successful history in accounting and financial leadership positions and has been instrumental in the growth and success of Stoneridge.

Robert J. Hartman has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Robert also has certification from Wharton Executive Education in The Leadership Journey and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
