Eleonora Skaffari-Väisänen

Eleonora Skaffari-Väisänen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Eleonora started their career as a Trainee at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in 2008. Eleonora then worked as a Senior Trainee at Procopé & Hornborg before joining Hannes Snellman as an Associate Trainee in 2010.

In 2010, they also joined the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority as a Senior Research Officer, where they handled competition infringements, leniency applications, and represented the organization at the European Competition Network. Eleonora held this position until 2016.

In 2017, they joined Fazer as a Legal Counsel & Compliance Officer, responsible for compliance at the Fazer Group and handling legal matters for several divisions within the company.

Since 2019, Eleonora has been working at Stora Enso in various roles. Eleonora served as the Lead Counsel for the Packaging Solutions Division, where they led the legal work, managed legal and compliance risks, and provided advisory services. Later, they became the Lead Counsel & Excellence Area Lead for the Forest Division, responsible for heading legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Forest Division, where they are a member of the Division Leadership Team.

In addition to their work at these companies, Eleonora was involved in significant projects, including a greenfield xylitol factory project at Fazer.

Furthermore, they obtained a degree in Economics for Competition Law from King's College London in 2015. In 2010, Eleonora completed their LL.M. in European Intellectual Property Law at Stockholm University. Previously, in 2009, they took the ETA-kelpoisuuskoe / EEA qualification exam at the University of Helsinki. Eleonora also holds an LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of Helsinki, which they achieved in 2009. Eleonora's educational journey began at International University Audentes, where they earned their LL.B. in European, International, and Comparative Law between 2005 and 2008. Eleonora completed their high school education at Kallion lukio in 2004 and briefly attended Vryheid High School in 2002-2003. Eleonora Skaffari-Väisänen has additionally obtained certifications in the Oxford Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme from the University of Oxford in 2022.
