Mats Axelsson

Mats Axelsson has extensive work experience in various IT and management roles. Mats worked at Stora Enso for over 10 years, starting as an IT Manager in 2008 and eventually becoming the Director of Operations IT Biomaterials. In this role, they were responsible for IT and digitalization in Stora Enso Biomaterials mills and innovation center, as well as involved in corporate-level digitalization and smart operation initiatives. Prior to Stora Enso, Mats worked at IndustriAutomation AB, managing the company as a consultant in the automation area. Mats also worked at Honeywell AB as a Sales Manager and Key Account Manager. Earlier in their career, Mats worked at Stora Cell Industri AB as a Manager of the System Department, and at Gotaverken Energy AB as a Sales Engineer and Project Engineer. Mats began their career at Elektromontage AB as an E&I Engineer and at Norrsunder Bruk AB as an Instrument Engineer.

Mats Axelsson attended Polhem from 1976 to 1980, earning a degree in Engineering with a focus on System Technology and Computers.
