Richard Harvey has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in various roles within the IT industry. Richard started their career as a Technical Support Representative at AOL International in 1998 and later worked as an IT Support technician at Radio Detection. Richard then joined AXA as a Service Desk Analyst before moving to Orange as a Helpdesk Technician.
In 2005, Richard joined Hyder Consulting as an IT Field Engineer and worked there for seven years before transitioning to the role of IS&T Deskside Support at Bechtel Corporation. Richard then worked as a Field IT professional at QGC - A BG Group Business.
In 2014, Richard joined Brightside Insurance, where they served as an IT Support Technician and later as an IT Infrastructure Analyst. Richard then briefly worked as a Senior IT professional at Systemagic Ltd in 2015 before taking on the role of a Systems Engineer at StorMagic, a software-defined storage solution company.
Throughout their career, Richard has gained expertise in various technologies, including virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, and storage solutions.
Richard Harvey attended Soundwell College in Bristol from 1996 to 1997, where they pursued a GNVQ Adv. IT degree in the field of Information Technology. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, they studied at The Grange and obtained a GCSE degree in Information Technology. In addition to their formal education, Richard Harvey obtained a certification as a VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization in March 2021 from VMware.
