Associate Education Director at Story Pirates

Sherry Layne has a diverse work experience in the education and arts industry. Sherry started their career in 2007 as a Workshop Instructor at Camp Bravo and continued to hold various roles there, including Assistant Operations Administrator and Retreat Camp Director. In 2010, they served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors at The Collaboratory Inc. and later became the President of the Board of Directors. Sherry also worked at Puppet School as an Assistant Manager and Performance Coordinator. Additionally, they have worked as a Guest Artist at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy, Ramon C. Cortines School Of Visual And Performing Arts, and Plaza de la Raza. In 2011, they worked as a Party Clown at Happy Days Entertainment and also as a Workshop Instructor at Peak Enrichment. Sherry's passion for education and the arts led their to work as a Teaching Artist, Director, and Actor at Story Pirates, where they eventually became the Associate Education Director. In 2016, they started their own business, Puppet Layne, where they serve as the Owner and Puppet Builder. Sherry's extensive work experience highlights their dedication and expertise in the field.

Sherry Layne completed a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from California State University, Northridge from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Chapman University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In addition, Sherry Layne spent some time studying in CAPA - London in 2005, although the specific degree and field of study during their time there are not specified.
