Emily Scheer

Emily Scheer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Emily currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Storytel, starting in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SolarWinds as a Director of Engineering from September 2020 to June 2022.

Before joining SolarWinds, Emily held roles at Pingdom, where they served as a Director of Engineering from August 2018 to September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineering Manager from September 2015 to July 2018.

Emily also has significant experience at HiQ, where they held various roles. From April 2011 to September 2015, they served as a Consultant Manager and Business Area Manager, managing a large group of IT consultants and overseeing business-critical IT projects. Emily also worked as a Scrum Instructor and Agile Coach from 2009 to 2015, working with clients such as Saab Aerosystems, Skatteverket, and ABB Robotics. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Consultant, handling project management, web development, and UX/UI design assignments from January 2008 to March 2011.

Emily'searlier experience includes roles as an Education Program Responsible, Mentor, and Teacher at John Bauergymnasiet from August 2005 to December 2007, as well as a UX Designer at Contento from January 2005 to June 2005.

Emily began their career as an Editor at Vestmanlands Läns Tidning from June 2001 to December 2004.

Emily Scheer completed their education at various institutions. From 2000 to 2005, they attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology and earned their MSc in Engineering with a focus on Media Technology. In 2004, they briefly studied at Mälardalen University, but did not obtain a degree in Educational Leadership. Emily also attended several short-term courses: in 2008, they received a certification in Project Management from Learning Tree International in Stockholm, and also completed a certification program as a Certified Scrum Master from Crisp AB. Additionally, in the same year, they completed a course in Programming .NET from Learning Tree International in London. In 2011, they participated in a program on Values Driven Leadership offered by Thread AB / HiQ. Finally, in 2016, they attended a program at SolarWinds titled "Manager: The Next Generation," although it is unclear if they obtained a degree from this program.
