Maria Verbitskaya

Maria Verbitskaya has diverse work experience in project management and tech roles. Maria started their career as a Project Manager at Loft Project ETAGI Exhibition Centre, where they successfully coordinated and led various projects. Maria then worked as a Senior Administrative Coordinator at PATENTICA, managing the final stage of patent application processes and corresponding with clients. At Opticom, Maria worked as a Qualitative Market Researcher.

Their tech-related experience includes working at Gavagai, where they started as a Project Manager Intern, responsible for implementing Agile methodologies and leading analytics projects. Maria later became a Tech Project Manager, leading analytics and software development projects, setting tasks for teams, and managing sprint workflows. Maria also took on the role of Crew Coach at Storytel, where they launched a B2B service and led cross-functional development teams, organized work processes, and built team culture.

Maria also worked as an Interim Tech Manager at Storytel, overseeing 2 development teams during their manager's parental leave. In this role, they supervised and supported the teams in their daily work and collaborated with the Product Owner to set and follow up on project plans.

Throughout their career, Maria has demonstrated strong leadership skills, team management abilities, and a focus on improving processes and achieving project outcomes.

Maria Verbitskaya started their education in Italian Language and Literature at Saint Petersburg State University in 2006. Maria completed their Bachelor's degree in this field in 2012, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. In 2009, they also studied Italian Studies at Università per Stranieri di Siena. Maria then pursued a short-term program in Italian Language and Literature at Università per Stranieri di Perugia in 2012. Later, in 2015 and 2016, they attended Jensen Yrkeshögskola where they studied IT Projektledare. Additionally, Maria obtained a PRINCE2 certification from PEOPLECERT in September 2016.
