Samantha Sword-Fehlberg

Samantha Sword-Fehlberg is a Senior System Analyst at STR since October 2022, with a robust background in research and data analysis from New Mexico State University, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Physics was attained in January 2022. As a PHD Researcher, Samantha analyzed data from the MicroBooNE neutrino experiment, employing high-performance computing techniques to manipulate large data sets. Previous roles include Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant, where instruction was provided for physics laboratories and developmental materials were created. Additionally, Samantha has experience in design and implementation of machine learning algorithms and calibration of complex systems through positions at the HEP Center for Computing Excellence and USRA, with recognition as an Outstanding Scholar for contributions on a classified DoD satellite calibration project. Early career experience includes work at the Air Force Research Laboratory, focusing on scattering control in hyperspectral imagers.
