Dr. Jose James

Dr. Jose James has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development, with expertise in haptics and robotics. Dr. Jose has held various roles at different organizations, including STRAC Institute as a Research and Development Scientist, Brown University as a Research Scientist, Harvard Medical School as a Research collaborator, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Dr. Jose has also served as the Lead-Haptics Research at exiii and as the Team Lead of the Haptics Software Team and Senior Research Associate at AMMACHI Labs. Dr. James has conducted research and development in areas such as multi-finger haptics, virtual reality-based surgical simulations, and human-computer interaction technologies. Dr. Jose has experience managing teams and mentoring students in related research projects. Dr. James holds a PhD in Haptics and Robotics and has contributed to the development of innovative educational tools and skill development solutions.

Dr. Jose James completed their education as follows:

- In 2018, they obtained a Research Fellowship in Haptics & Motion tracking from Università degli Studi del Sannio-Benevento.

- From 2013 to 2018, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Haptics & Robotics at Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham.

- In 2014, they had a PhD Research Fellowship in Haptics & Robotics from the Technical University of Munich.

- Dr. Jose earned a B-Tech degree in Electronics & Communication from Vimal Jyothi Engg College, Kannur in 2006.

- Dr. Jose completed their Pre-Degree at Fatima Mata National College, Kollam from 1999 to 2001.

- Their secondary education, SSLC, was completed at Govt. High School Ashtamudy from 1989 to 1999.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Jose James has obtained various certifications, including Introduction to Haptics from Stanford University in 2016 and Computational Haptics Lab from Technical University Munich in 2014. Dr. Jose also holds certifications in research ethics and human subjects research.
