Jim Olick

Jim Olick has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to financial aid, enrollment planning, and IT consulting. Jim worked at Strata Information Group as a Senior Consultant in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Interim Director of Financial Aid at Iron Bridge Resources, LLC, where they counseled and educated students about financial aid eligibility and managed financial data. At Johnson & Wales University, Olick held multiple roles, including Director of Enrollment and Planning Services and Director of Admissions Systems & Operations. Jim oversaw enrollment budgets, led recruiting efforts, and expanded CRM capabilities. At Emerson College, they were the Director of Financial Aid, where they led a department of eleven people and managed over $22 million in institutional aid. Olick also worked as a Sr. Financial Aid Systems Analyst at Johnson & Wales University, where they managed a team and provided insights to University Retention Team. Before that, they worked as an IT Consultant and IT Development Program Associate at Pratt & Whitney. Olick started their career at Rhode Island Student Loan Authority/Nelnet as the Director of E-commerce, where they insured market perception as a technologically advanced institution and streamlined application processes.

Jim Olick earned their Bachelor of Science degree in MIS and Marketing from the University of Rhode Island - College of Business in 1998. Jim then pursued their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at the same university from 2002 to 2005. Later on, in 2013, they attended Northeastern University where they earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a focus on Higher Education/Higher Education Administration.
