Medical Science Liaison at Strata Oncology

Emily Wiseman, MS, MEd, CGC has a diverse work experience in the field of genetic counseling and medical science liaison. Emily started their career as a Genetic Counseling Intern at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in May 2019 and subsequently interned at Dayton Children's Hospital, Progenity Inc., and Kaiser Permanente. In 2020, they gained further experience as a Genetic Counseling Intern at Linda S. Cowan, MD and GeneMatters. Emily also worked as an Oncology Genetic Counselor at Northern Arizona Healthcare and later as a Medical Science Liaison at Ambry Genetics. In 2022, they joined Natera as a Medical Science Liaison and, in 2023, they transitioned to their current role as a Medical Science Liaison at Strata Oncology. Throughout their career, Emily has developed skills in telegenetic counseling, cardiovascular and reproductive genetic counseling, and counseling diverse patients across the United States. Emily has also contributed to the development of educational materials and internal resources for genetic counselors.

Emily Wiseman has an extensive education history. Emily obtained a Master's of Science degree in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling from Keck Graduate Institute, where they studied from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued their M.Ed in Human Relations at Northern Arizona University from 2015 to 2017.

Emily also holds Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Biology and Psychology, both of which were earned from Northern Arizona University from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Emily Wiseman has obtained a certification as a board-certified genetic counselor from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) in February 2022.
