Corlis Wheeler has a diverse range of work experience spanning several companies and industries. They started their career in 2002 as a Guest Service Representative at Marriott Hotels. From there, they worked at Westfield as a Customer Service Supervisor from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, they joined St. Luke's Hospital as a Voice Services Representative and remained in that role until 2015. Following that, they worked at John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts as an Assistant Guest Services Manager from 2015 to 2018. They then moved on to Atrium Hospitality, where they served as a Guest Services Manager from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they are employed at Strategic Solution Partners as an Operations Manager since July 2021.

Corlis Wheeler obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Phoenix. In addition to this degree, they have obtained several certifications including the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. Corlis also received the St. Luke's FACES Leadership Graduate certification from St. Luke's Hospital in August 2014. Furthermore, they are an alumni of Leadership Chesterfield, an organization affiliated with Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce in 2014.
