Usman Altaf

Usman Altaf has a diverse work experience in the field of software quality assurance (SQA). Usman started their career in January 2011 at Sabri Technologies - SabriTech as an SQA Engineer, where they focused on functional testing of e-commerce web applications and blackberry applications. Usman also performed bug management and created ISO standard documents for the QA department until June 2011.

Following this, Usman joined Hira Software Solutions in June 2011 as an SQA Engineer. Here, they wrote and executed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Usman also performed sanity/smoke and regression testing and managed defects until January 2013.

From January 2013, Usman worked at Strategic Systems International, starting as an SQA Engineer. Usman was responsible for executing test plans, designing application mock-up screens, and performing different testing methodologies. Usman then progressed to the role of Sr. SQA Engineer, where they were given the additional responsibility of ensuring complete SQA of project modules. Later on, they became the Principal QA Engineer, leading SQA of software projects, executing test cases, and designing application mock-up screens according to user stories. Usman performed various testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and regression testing. As of July 2022, Usman holds the position of Staff Engineer at Strategic Systems International.

Usman Altaf received a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from the University of the Punjab, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Central Punjab from 2009 to 2011.
