Isabella Abelgas

Isabella Abelgas is an experienced instructional design associate at StreetCode Academy since March 2023, with a robust background in research, policy, and community engagement. Isabella held multiple roles at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, including export and foreign policy intern, where responsibilities included policy analysis, stakeholder communication, and marketing material management. As an undergraduate research assistant, Isabella focused on student food insecurity among BIPOC students, coauthoring manuscripts and successfully securing project funding through grant proposals. Prior experience also includes serving as a resident advisor, Poly Pipeline mentor, and learning facilitator intern at San Mateo County Libraries, where collaborative curriculum development and individualized learning planning were key responsibilities. Isabella holds a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
