Andreas Johansson

Andreas Johansson has a diverse work experience spanning various educational institutions and organizations. Andreas currently serves as the Director of Operations at Streetsboro City Schools, where they are responsible for managing various operations on campus, including technology integration, food service, transportation, facilities, maintenance, and campus safety. Andreas has achieved significant milestones such as a system-wide Google migration, implementation of a 1:1 Chromebook program during the pandemic, and rebuilding the Transportation Department. Additionally, Andreas has served as a Director At Large (Board Member) at the Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation since 2021. Andreas has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Kent State University and Lake Erie College, and as a Technology Consultant at The Open Table. Prior to joining Streetsboro City Schools, Andreas held the position of Director of Technology Integration at Kenston Local Schools, where they played a vital role in integrating technology in the classroom and developing the district's instructional use of computers plan. Andreas has also served on the Board of Directors at The Cooperative Council of Governments. Andreas started their career as a classroom teacher at Nordonia Hills City Schools and Fairless Local Schools, where they taught various subjects and developed innovative courses.

Andreas Johansson's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Kent State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in 2002. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Arts in Teaching at Kent State University from 2006 to 2007, with a focus on Secondary Education/Social Studies.

In 2018, Andreas returned to Kent State University and enrolled in the School Superintendent's Program, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration. This program lasted until 2020.

Simultaneously, from 2018 onwards, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Educational Leadership at Kent State University. As of now, Andreas is an ABD (All But Dissertation) or Doctoral Candidate, with their dissertation in progress. This program is expected to be completed by 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Andreas has obtained various professional certifications. In 2009, they completed the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification through Nordonia City Schools/Dave Broman. In 2012, they became a Google for Education Certified Trainer. In 2015, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com and the LeanOhio Boot Camp/Camo Belt certification from the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.

Furthermore, Andreas obtained the Social and Behavioral Research certification from the CITI Program in September 2021. In July 2022, they acquired the Ohio Teaching License for Secondary Education Social Studies 7-12 and the 5-Year Professional Superintendent License from the Ohio Department of Education. Most recently, in September 2022, they became a Certified ALICE Instructor through Navigate360.
