Carlos Lopez

Carlos Lopez, P.E. is a Senior Associate at Stress Engineering Services, Inc. since August 2015, specializing in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and thermal safety and performance testing of complex systems, including lithium-ion batteries and subsea equipment. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Fellow role at NASA, focusing on lithium battery thermal runaway mitigation, and positions at Texas A&M University as a Graduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher, where significant research was conducted on energy storage materials and active battery thermal management systems. Earlier internships at Texas Instruments and Weir SPM provided experience in robotics and automation engineering as well as CFD simulations for hydraulic systems. Carlos holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
