Don Forbes has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Don currently holds the position of President at StressCrete Group since November 2022, after previously serving as Chief Operating Officer from December 2018 to November 2022 and as Chief Financial Officer from August 2015 to December 2018. Prior to joining StressCrete Group, Don worked at Grant Thornton Corporate Finance Inc. as the Director of Corporate Finance from October 2014 to July 2015. Before that, they were a Manager at Grant Thornton LLP from January 2011 to September 2014, where they specialized in corporate finance engagements and provided strategic and business planning support to privately-held companies. Don also served as a Manager at MacGillivray Hamilton from September 2007 to December 2010. Don began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, first as an Associate and later as a Senior Associate, from September 2005 to September 2007.
Don Forbes completed their education with the following chronological history:
- From 2001 to 2005, they attended the Ivey Business School at Western University, earning an HBA degree with a specialization in Business.
- Between 2005 and 2008, they enrolled at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, receiving their CA (chartered accountant) designation.
- From 2008 to 2012, they pursued further studies at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, obtaining their CBV (chartered business valuator) designation.
In addition to their formal education, Don Forbes also earned the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation from the Chartered Business Valuators Institute (CBV Institute) in 2023.
