Sakunthala Senarath

Sakunthala Senarath has a strong background in HR, administration, organizational development, and talent management. Sakunthala currently holds a position as the Regional GM/ Head of HR, Administration & Organizational Development at Stretchline Holdings Ltd., starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they were the Founder/Lead Consultant at Epitome International Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd since July 2016.

Sakunthala has also held leadership roles at Courtaulds Clothing Lanka Pvt Ltd as the General Manager/Head of Group HR, Administration & Compliance from June 2021 to April 2022. Sakunthala has previous experience with MAS Holdings, where they held the positions of Lead Consultant from September 2017 to December 2019, Group Manager - Organizational Development & Talent from January 2016 to June 2016, and Manager - Divisional HR Strategy & Projects and Manager - Divisional Learning & Talent Development at MAS Active Trading (Pvt) Ltd from January 2015 to February 2016 and January 2012 to January 2015 respectively. Sakunthala also worked as an Assistant Manager: Divisional Learning & Talent Development from January 2011 to January 2012 and as a Senior Executive from 2008 to 2010 at MAS Active Trading (Pvt) Ltd. Sakunthala began their career at MAS Active Trading (Pvt) Ltd as a Management Trainee from October 2005 to January 2007.

Throughout their career, Sakunthala has demonstrated expertise in HRIS integration, change management, governance, competency development, restructuring, employee engagement, and leadership development.

Sakunthala Senarath has a diverse education history. In 2015, they attended the Stamford Global Workforce Analytics Summit, where they studied talent analytics. The following year, in 2014, they received coaching training from TAS Singapore. In 2013, Sakunthala attended the University of Kentucky and earned a degree in the People side of lean, specializing in talent management and development. That same year, they also completed a Competency Framework for Talent Management & Development program at Deloitte Consultancy. In 2012, Sakunthala participated in a seminar on Highly Efficient Production System conducted by The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS) in Japan. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued an MBA at the Postgraduate Institute of Management in Sri Lanka. During this time, in 2010, they also completed a program on HRM for Lean Manufacturing from NOS HRM focusing on HR management and development. In 2002, Sakunthala obtained their Bsc degree in Economics & Management from the University of Nottingham. Prior to their university education, they attended Musaeus College in Sri Lanka from 1986 to 2000. Additionally, Sakunthala received a Certificate of Human Resource Management from the London Business School, although the specific year of completion is not provided. Finally, in 2012, they underwent executive training on Strategic HR at NUS.
