Melanie Baybay

Melanie Baybay has had a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 when they were a Circulation Desk Student Assistant and Research Assistant, Simulation Actor at the University of San Francisco - Zief Law Library. In 2014, they were an Innovation and Advanced Technology Extern at Kaiser Permanente and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UCSF Emotion Health & Psychophysiology Lab. In 2015, they worked as a Laboratory/Facilities Assistant at Alexo Therapeutics and an Administrative Assistant at One Medical Group. In 2017, they were a Computer Science Tutor at the University of San Francisco Computer Science Dept., an Instructor at the Girl Tech Power Summer Program, and a Teacher Assistant for Network Analysis I at ICPSR at University of Michigan Institute for Social Research. Finally, in 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Stride. During their time at Kaiser Permanente, they were part of the IT Rotation Program and developed a decentralized app utilizing blockchain technology, APIs, and web development for a drug supply chain proof of concept.

Melanie Baybay attended the University of San Francisco from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General. Melanie then returned to the University of San Francisco from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
